Four Baptisms! May 4, 2015

Hey Mamma,
What in the world?!? New cars, Noelle and her friends look like almost-adults, and Adria is engaged?!? That is super weird. Time is moving too quick!
This past week has been great. Pretty much our highlights this week have been our lessons with Kielly and Kaylee and with Edwin and Kevyn.
Kielly and Kaylee are ready to go for baptism this coming Saturday! They are such smart girls. They have been through a lot of difficult situations due to their abusive dad, but now they can finally progress in their life. I am excited to see their growth in the gospel.
This week is Elder Olkjer's last week in the mission, so we are trying to finish off strong and we are trying to witness lots of miracles. And boy oh boy is God providing!
On Saturday we went to the Mesa Visitors Center with Edwin and Kevyn and their kids, along with their member neighbors the Sanfilippos. We watched the movie Meet the Mormons with them and then walked around the temple. Kevyn was crying during the movie and they loved the temple and Visitors Center! It was awesome. And then they came to church yesterday, and when Elder Olkjer bore his testimony in sacrament meeting, afterwards Kevyn was crying and was mad at Elder Olkjer for leaving! She didn't know he was leaving so soon, so she told him how they are going to miss him.
We then had a lesson with Edwin and Kevyn last night, and then told us that they want to be married and baptized THIS WEEK before Elder Olkjer leaves. We had them on date to be baptized for May 9th, but we didn't think they would be ready because they haven't been married yet. But they told us that they are committed and they want Elder Olkjer to be at their wedding and baptism before he leaves. We tried to tell them that they shouldn't do this just for Elder Olkjer, but they firmly told us that this is what they wanted to do and they rather get it done sooner rather than later. So we talked to our Bishop last night and he is going over on Tuesday night to get all of their marriage paper worked out and we plan to have a small and simple wedding ceremony this weekend and then a baptism right after! Woo Hoo!
God has blessed us with 4 incredible baptisms this Saturday. We are going to do all we can to preserve them and help them towards this goal. Woo hoo!
Also this week I was able to go on exchanges in my old area, Desert Mt and Rittenhouse wards. I was able to visit with Steve and Kacie Dison, and Kacie is having her baby girl this week! It was great to catch up with them and see how they are doing. Kacie is still active and excited about the gospel, although Steve is still agnostic. It was awesome to hear that Kacie still goes visiting teaching even with her pregnant belly! She is awesome.
I love you guys and I am thankful for all of your support. Have a great week and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!
love,
Elder Lambert
p.s. not sure where we are skyping at or what time. We will let you know though.
