26 Teaching Opportunities! June 1, 2015
Hey Mamma,
Thanks for the pictures! Yes my address is still 1062 E Nardini St, San Tan Valley, AZ 85240. And thanks for the quote!
Please take time this week to honor the life of Elder L. Tom Perry, an amazing apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ! His last talk in conference on the importance of families was very memorable. I love that man and am grateful for the legacy of hope that he left.
This week was great. We had 26 total teaching opportunities this week, which was is pretty good. Patrick, Joann and Trinity are all progressing greatly. They all came to church and seemed to really enjoy it. Patrick is awesome! He is super intelligent and he loves reading the Book of Mormon. He has such a dorky personality, but I love it! And we had a great lesson with JoAnn and Trinity on Saturday. We brought our YWP, Sis Bodell, and she was just the person who God needed to be there! JoAnn told Sis Bodell that she was there when Sis Bodell talked in sacrament a couple of weeks ago and that her talk really inspired her! Her talk was an answer to her prayers and helped her decide that she wanted to be baptized! It was pretty cool to hear that.
We also had two great lessons with Terra and her kids, Destiny, Mckenzie, and Kaden. Terra is the less active single mom who has finally started coming back to church for the first time in a long time. Her three kids are 17 years old, 14 years old, and 11 years old. The kids are very shy and don't have much of a religious background, but they are finally warming up to us and getting comfortable when we teach! They even laughed a little during our last lesson. I really hope this family progresses and that these kids desire to be baptized.
The work continues forward and we are working hard! I read a great talk this walk called "The Miracle of Personality" by Sterling W. Sill and I realized what I want most in life! I invite each of you to read that talk and determine what characteristics and attributes you desire to see most in your personality.
Have a great week of graduation Noelle! I love you guys!!
love,
Elder Lambert
p.s. One of my old members in Rittenhouse ward, Chris and Auburn Jones, are going to take my books up with them to Utah this summer when they visit over the 4th of July. So I don't need to send them anymore!
