Study the Bible, Sept. 23, 2013
Oh Mamma,
Hey! Yes, I'm always studying the Bible. Especially New Testament scripture. If you don't know the Bible, you don't know the Gospel. Our main book of doctrine IS the Bible. Very few people know that. So study it! And yeah! I got the Shutterfly photo album. It was awesome! Connor is such a stud. I'm so happy for him.
This week we've had plenty of funny and spiritual experiences. We've been trying to work with the members more and have them attend more lessons with us. It's a continual process but we are getting there. We met this pathological liar named Rick the other day. Haha he is so funny. Apparently he is a religious theologian, professional bull rider, culinary cook, ex-marine, experienced truck driver, owns a private business, owns a private beach in California, and currently works as the maintenance man at our apartments. Hahahaha he makes my day.
This week we've really been trying to help a few of our investigators to quit smoking. Smoking is disgusting. Seriously. It is sad how people are slaves to it. But we know they can do it with support, love, and reliance on the Lord. "For with God all things are possible."
On Thursday Elder Bailey and I went on exchanges with our Zone Leaders. I went with Elder Swenson in his area, it was a lot of fun. Elder Swenson is such a good guy. He graduated in 2007 and is 25 (Connor's age right?). He went to Bingham high school and when he was 19 we was diagnosed with diabetes. He worked so hard and long to be able to be healthy enough to serve a mission. He is one of the humblest missionaries I know. He is the first missionary that I have met that takes the time to listen to God after every prayer. Good guy. I respect him a lot.
We are struggling to keep people on date to be baptized, but we are planning on some baptisms on October 12th. I love the people in Florence and I want to help them in every way I can.
I know that this is Jesus Christ's church upon the earth. I know that the young boy Joseph Smith saw God the Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I will go to the grave if necessary with that testimony.
I love you all!
-Elder Lambert
