Gospel Oriented Family, Oct. 14, 2013
Mamma sita,
What's up?!? Life is good in the Mesa AZ. My new area is pretty sweet and my companion is hilarious haha. Elder Smith is quite the goof ball. He kinda has ADD so sometimes it is hard for him to focus and he notices the most random things. But it has been fun. The new area is great, except we still have no investigators. We have been working our tails off to find people though, and we've really been focusing on trying to work through the members. We've seen some miracles through our efforts because when we stay busy and obedient, the Lord always provides for us. Two days ago we met 2 potential investigators, one of them at a garage sale and the other at a bad address. It is so neat-o to see how the Lord places people into our paths.
And guess what? I made instagram! Haha I guess Elder Smith and I have a picture on instagram because we had a family night with this awesome family the Millers last week. They have the cutest and funniest girls. We had a darn-good spiritual lesson with them. Sister Miller's instagram name is mom4jules I believe if you want to look that up somehow.
The greatest thing I've learned this week is patience and how Christ-centered families are so much happier. I've had to learn patience because Elder Smith gets distracted pretty easy so it is hard to keep us both focused on whatever we are doing. We've worked with so many different families, and it is incredible to see the night and day differences of those that actively live the gospel and those who do not. I want to thank you Mom for doing all you could to raise me in such a Christ-centered environment. I want that more than ever for my future family. And it really is a struggle when the parents have a different religious affiliation; the spirit of unity just isn't the same. I want a strong gospel-oriented family! I'll have to wait two years for that though.
That's crazy to hear about the new bishopric! And that Noelle is actually WORKING! Wow! Miracles do happen! Haha. And I am very happy to hear that dad's business is doing better and that you had a great anmiversary. And where does Paige Anderson live? And thanks for sending a package! I'm excited!
I love you guys.
